It’s all down to experience!

We’ve been travelling by motorhome or campervan for over 2 decades. Undoubtedly it’s just the best way to see the world and experience those top vanlife travels.

So here’s a few of the the best bits about vanlife travel and why we still love adventures by campervan.

Where’s the best place you’ve visited?

We’re often asked the all important question – “where’s the best place you’ve visited”? It’s often really difficult to know what to answer, because most places have been intriguing in their own right. After all, road trips and travels are all quite different, each location has its own individual appeal and memory.

However, if we had to name one destination that stood out, we’d have to say it’s Australia. This country is phenomenal and our road trip across 23,000km of it, left us completely in awe.

Vanlife travels bring a different perspective

Having said that, there’s a few places were wouldn’t rush back to. There are several that we’ve been back to numerous times and plenty that have just blown us away completely.

We often can’t help a burst of super enthusiastic recollections of a particular place we’ve visited. It’s often enough to even make the most anti-vanlife person, want to rush out and buy that campervan!

It’s great to re-live the fantastic places we’ve seen over the years and talk to like-minded vanlife addicts. After all, travel by road, whilst sleeping, eating and travelling in the same vehicle, day after day brings a different kind of perspective to life.

Every day brings something different

There’s also the fact that we mostly get to see the real side of a country. Every day brings something different and a chance to embrace the incredible surroundings that we see through those van windows.

It’s the concept as a whole that gets into your sole. We just love the care-free, casual aspect of jumping in the van and driving off to escape the realities of life in the modern world.

As soon as our feet touch step inside, we’re transported into another life, another time, another world.

New Experiences

No matter which town we stumble across or country we travel through, it’s a new experience. Having a fresh perspective to our world and a fascinating insight into how others’ work and live is a unique feeling.

Finding our how history or events have carved a path through communities, or the country itself is an education. There’s no better way to learn about our world, than physically seeing and feeling the beauty or scars that past events have created.

Meeting new People

One of the most rewarding aspects to vanlife travels is meeting others, often in the most bizarre circumstances. It could be talking over a campfire or alongside a surreal view or possibly overlooking an incredible backdrop.

Wherever we strike up new conversations, we learn from the moment. It’s great to hear about new ideas of travel, often bringing fresh thoughts to our minds. It’s about having the same relationship between our ideas and the vanlife travel ideology that we have so much in common with others.

Suddenly, there are no boundaries that may have otherwise lay as a barrier between us and the most interesting, humble human beings out there.

Meeting more than once

Often we meet the same people over and over again. It’s such a coincidence when it happens and in the end those people become so familiar.

When a journey to a region involves following the same ‘must do’ route, we see the familiar faces again and again. No sooner have we said our goodbye’s, thinking it’s the last time and suddenly, we meet again! We end up forming a bond en-route, making new friends and memories to take with us on our journey.

We’ve learnt so much along the way from chance meetings, exchanging so many stories with fellow travellers. It’s brought insight into the most amazing tips of places to visit and attractions to see, as a result.

Sometimes, it’s through talking to locals and fellow vanlife folk, that you get the most out of a trip.  We’d love to share with you our own tips of travel. Passing on our own ideas of places to see and the best experiences we’ve had will hopefully shine through. Enthusiasm is infectious and we all need a bit of that to help us on our way.

Sharing the enthusiasm

With so much information to pass on,  it’s difficult to know exactly where to begin. Gradually, we’ll share our enthusiastic knowledge and experience, bringing inspiration from across the world. Vanlife travels are exciting, ever-evolving and can be so unique. Let’s join together to share our love of this way of life on the road and embrace the fabulous world of vanlife travels!
